I wanted to keep my apartment so I have a place to come home to when I get back, and because I really don't want to pay for storage.
If you have any knowledge, or anything pertaining to that it'd be much appreciated. Thank you!

It all depends on your command. I've seen it go both ways. More often then not though they shut off your BAH and tell you to put your things in storage. mainly because you have no dependants and they will house you on deployment.

Not sure how the Navy works, but with the Army, if you are already authorized your BAH, then you keep it while deployed. Also, if you are deploying, they should put your stuff in storage at no cost to you so you can give up your apartment and make some extra money.

SGT W. Slagle - The barracks on my base are at 94% occupancy... they encouraged the E4s and E5s to move out due to us receiving so many E1-E3s.
I'm also stationed on a smaller naval base.
