If I’m going unaccompanied to Korea, and my family wants to go to our HOR (home of record), will the government pay for the move there?

Yes. You should have had that explained in your Levy Brief. It will need to be stated in orders, consult the Personnel Office cutting your orders.

You are given the option of where to send your family in your levy brief and they explain all the requirements. Your best best is to move your family to your HAAP location ahead of your PCS and save them a second move a year from now.

I went to Korea from Georgia and my wife went back to Colorado. We basically did a regular PCS move to Colorado after it was stated in my orders stating that’s where they will be and than I flew to Korea. You will get BAH for where ever your orders say they are at. When you leave Korea you will fly back to where you left your family and than do a regular PCS move to your new duty station with family.
