If I'm in the Reserves of one branch, could I be active duty simultaneously in another?

That's a good question!
That actually used to be a thing. There was a Career Counselor Sergeant Major who would write reenlistment contracts, but was also a commissioned officer in the reserves, so he would then reenlist them. It was called dual-hatting. It's not allowed anymore. The closest you will see is state technicians who have one rank at work but then another at drill.

I would say the closest approximation is SMP: a ROTC cadet simultaneously serving as a drilling member of the Guard.

Used to be quite common. I guess Army not rift officers much anymore. I had a Bn SGM that had been rifted after the war. He showed up as a COL for his retirement ceremony in 1966. Could be because most Os are USA commissioned now days and not USAR/AUS commissioned. Finding an OTHRA O on AD is rare, I think.

Riddle me this, how would you do AT or get mobilized with a RC unit if you are on active duty?
