If I re-enlist after being out a couple months, how would my pay work? Would my pay start after I sign my contract or after my report date?

Why have a social networking forum for military members to ask questions and gain knowledge if they are told to shut up when they ask questions and try to gain knowledge?

The “clock” doesn’t start until he reports to his unit since he is re-joining the service. The “clock” would start after taking the Oath and signing if he was re-enlisting while still on active duty.

SGM (Join to see), remember that when he take his Oath and sing his DD4 is when he enters active duty and ship out. At least it was the way when I re-entered active duty in 1992. Had to report to MEPS, sign DD4 and ship, just like when a first entered few years earlier.

MAJ Javier Rivera whole I said “unit”, I meant MEPS when he was officially rolling out.
And with that wording, you would be correct if he signs his 4/3 the day he departs.

You don't get paid until you go to work. The same as the first time you enlisted.
