If I want to reenlist for overseas, and I denied my initial offers, can the Army put me on orders before I get a chance to request again?

Hello I am a 25Q with a TS Clearance
Trying to reenlist for a specific overseas assignment, I am currently overseas as well. Got my "offers " back and denied them. Was told I can request again in 30 days. My question is can the army put me on orders before I get a chance to pick?
Deros: November 2021
Ets: June 2022

Yes they absolutely can, but if you haven't been placed on assignment at six months from DEROS then you probably won't be.
What will happen is that there will be fewer and fewer assignments for you to choose from. You have to pick an assignment that has a report date within 60 after your DEROS. Once you're inside that six month window there are just fewer and fewer assignments. So you will have to:
A. Pick a spot that HRC offers.
B. Reenlist needs of the Army and call your branch manager
C. ETS from OCONUS

Enlisted assignments seem so difficult, are they? I only received two assignments I was not happy with up front (Bliss turned out to be one of the best) and usually would be contacted by my manager six months out from PCS to discuss my options. Granted I was limited to assignments with MEDCENS (Korea lone exception) and probably more limited than EFMP but few complaints and it was easy.

Okay, they offered Bliss which I came from and do not want to go back and Humphreys (it's okay but not the position I was aiming) I do want to stay overseas, I went thro6the process of getting a TS SCI in Hope's of a better job but it looks like did6do much even though the job I want is open according to my retention

MAJ Byron Oyler it's not complicated, it's just that the Army has a super accommodating retention program for junior enlisted. Once you're a Careerist, your branch contacts you, offers you a few spots and that's it. For junior enlisted, once you're in your reenlistment window you go to the Career Counselor and start making requests. As long as it's something simple it's a fast process.

You can request but the chances of getting what you want are slim. You are needs of the army as far as where you go within your MOS. You turned down two offers, you may just get saddled with what the army feels like giving you. And yes the Army can put you on orders before you can pick.

Wanted to add they told me my window opened in May (had to get my child out of efmp) that took two weeks. How can my window open in May when my DEROS is November 2021? I am less than 5 months out

When you are overseas you have to wait until you have at least six months left or less before asking Branch where to go. You can keep asking but Branch knows where every spot is that is open for you.
