If I want to switch from NG to active duty AF, is it true that is not possible and that my only option is AGR?

Hello all,

I am a 1LT currently in the Army National Guard but was interested in switching to active duty Air Force. I spoke with my local recruiter who referred me to the officer recruiter. Upon speaking with them I was told that it's not possible to switch and my only option was AGR. I wanted to see if this was true and if anyone else had a similar experience?
