If I was attached to a unit for a TAD and they received a unit award, do I rate it as well? I don’t have the orders for that trip but I do have an award that I received showing the dates I was with them. Any help would be appreciated m, thank you.

The message from appropriate Service Secretary via Service will clearly spell out award criteria. Dates, locations, even latitude/longitude, attachments, agencies, sometimes by name. For USMC here's a look, if it works. Good luck and be proud of your service. https://www.marines.mil/News/Messages/MARADMINS/Search/jmua/

If your record shows dates of concurrence without spelling out your detachment it is still worthy of a close look, per Army regs. Outside my ballpark. Lots of good folks on here with Army IG, G1 experience. This is a lower level submission, that unless it's applying for waiver of sorts is a direct submission. Depends on local S1 document verification rules.

If you were attached on orders for the minimum amount of,time required for the unit award IAW 600-8-22 and the Order authroizing the decoration then Yes.

Talk to your S1. As long as your TAD orders were in compliance you should be good to go.
