If I was deployed to Kuwait from Jan 2016 to May 2016 as part of OEF-OSS, and received the GWOT-EM, am I authorized to wear combat patch?

If I was deployed to Kuwait (Camp Buehring) from Jan 2016 to May 2016 as part of OEF-OSS, and received the GWOT-EM, am I authorized to wear a combat patch?

SFC Stockstill is correct. I was there in the same time frame. Kuwait regardless of what camp you were at, for me it was arifjan, does not reward a combat patch, more simply put because as of fy14 Kuwait is regarded as an active duty PCS location.

Kuwait is not a declared hostile environment. It's like being "deployed" to Korea as an augmentee. No.
You weren't in combat, you don't get a combat patch. I was in Kuwait for nine months under the same circumstances as yourself. It's a rotation, not a combat deployment.
It is technically a deployment, but the key verbiage is hostile zone.

I was there is 2014 to 2015 and we were the last rotation authroized a combat patch for the mission. They changed the identifier and is no longer a combat tour. Now if you went forward to OEF, OIF or other while you were there then yes.

Yes you are. Once there, you have 30 days, then you are given memo to wear combat patches of unit you are deployed with and the 3rd Army
