I am seeking advice, but first I have to share the particulars of my case:
-Did four years enlisted active duty
-Did 8 years of National Guard duty
-Got out do to injury (I was transferred to the IRR), injury healed, but I fell out of shape due to it.
-I want to return to Active duty to finish my time, if not I will return to the Guard.
If I were selected via CAD program (big assumption) and finished my reminding time with the RA, how would that effect my retirement? More to the point will I be able to collect retirement pay after I hit the 20 year mark, or will I be under the Guard system, where I can only collect after I turn 60?

I was expecting more input from the community, but as my BC would say, "You're an officer, figure it out!" So if anyone else is in a similar situation here is what you need to know:
Active Duty Retirement From Guard/Reserves: You must have 20 active federal service years….DD 1405 time calculator, they would compute your total amount of time on active status while in the national guard, and from there determine how much time you have left to complete to qualify for active duty retirement. Once you complete those years you can qualify for federal retirement.
Of course you will have to be selected into the Call for Active Duty (CAD) Program first which is very selective.
