If my orders and mission says Iraq do I get to wear a combat patch also my erb says Iraq but I was Kuwait though, so how does it works?

If you were in Kuwait and never stepped into Iraq during your deployment, then no right sleeve patch for you.

Typically, you would know if you'd been authorized a combat patch. Kuwait is not currently a combat zone, (it was at one time, but that was a long time ago). Obviously if you weren't in an actual designated combat zone, then you shouldn't wear a combat patch, and you shouldn't be seeking some loophole to try and wear one either.

You should get a statement of wartime service.
