If the BN is not offering ALC slots for a support MOS, what can the NCOs do in the Army Reserves?

The unit company/batallion list for the company that I'm currently in, only has opportunity for psyop 37F ALC but not for any other support MOS in the unit. What can my fellow NCOs do to get an ALC slot in the Army Reserves.

This sounds a tad fishy. ALC is centrally funded, not unit funded. If there are open slots for the next higher NCO rank, there should not be an issue with submitting requests for ALC slots for their MOS. Otherwise, those other NCOs will have to consider promoting out of the unit.

It is the responsibility of the Training NCO to make sure that opportunities are available. Speak to your unit and then work up the chain. Classes may not be available if your unit does not have slots for E6 as that is the prerequisite, however, it could also serve as an annual training for the soldier; so look into that option as well

Yeah that's what they told us but on the company level there isn't slots but batallion there is and when they send the list to the company they're only giving the 37F ALC so for example the 25U or 92A doesn't have a chance, and all the NCO'S in the platoon are good standing. Me I'm not concern because I'm waiting on a conditional release to return to active duty but my fellow NCO need a chance to advance.

Ok yeah they told us to look for ALC slots but when they send us the Excel for ALC slots for the company they only have available for 37F and not for any 25, 91, 92 serious mos so now my counter parts support MOS in the company don't have the opportunity to request ALC because the Excel sheet 11th psyop batallion send the company doesn't have slots.
