If the DOD changes the rules, would you concealed carry on post or at your base?

There is a very sad truth we all have to face that is summed up in this pull quote: "There is something both military members and the civilian world needs to understand: the DoD and its branches do not really, deep down in their hearts, trust the average Airman, Sailor, Soldier or Marine."
For the MPs, and CID & Counter Intel agents, there is a federal law that opens the door for changed.

Yes. We are trained to engage enemies and protect our fellow man. We've seen multiple instances of active shooters on base and I feel ridiculous when we're told to cover up the windows, lock the doors, and hope we don't get hurt.
My 1st instinct is to start assembling fire teams to neutralize the enemy.
Mission of the Marine Rifle Squad------ To locate, close with, and destroy the enemy, by fire and maneuver, or repel the enemy assault by fire and close combat.
This is literally drilled into us and it goes against our very being to run and hide.

Like I said, the irony here is they can trust you in theater to carry and use weapons but get you home....different story altogether. Call or write your congressman/woman and Senator to end this madness.
