If you are in AGR (Active Guard Reserve) How is it treating you?

I have some career decisions to make in the next couple of months and a couple of service members are 'selling' the AGR idea to me. If you are currently in AGR please can somebody shed some light on the advantages and the down sides too please. I know career counselors have tons of information but I want some practical insight from folks who are living it. Thanks.
