I don't do resolutions, but I am starting on a mission with my wife this year. We will be serving our church as liaisons with the military community at Moody AFB in Georgia. That's kind of like a resolution as it will take some effort to do it well!

Stop the negative self talk. I’m my worst critic and while I preach to my child to ignore all the bullies out there and be positive…. I need to practice what I preach to be the role model or him and others.

Improve the level of care at the VA facilities. Those who count on the VA for care surely deserve the best available.

My New Year resolution is to get out of debt and prepare for retirement. I am a 57 years old disabled female and have tried on several occasions to save money whether it be through 401k or personal savings. I have not been successful to date. I feel like I am going to stick with this because the state of our social security system is not dependable. You have to have some other means of income. It's never too late!!! I pray that I'm successful so that I may retire in peace when the time comes not having to depend on my children. I want them to live their lives to the fullest and I want to live mine.

I would just lose around 60 pounds. I’m active, but constant pain and meds keep me from maintaining a healthier weight

Orlistat has helped me loose a considerable amount, and to date is the only thing that has resulted in weight loss for me. It is available over the counter, and doesn't do anything other than help stop the fat you eat from being absorbed. It comes out of the body in the form of greasy bowel movements, but that is enough to force minor changes in diets. Best of luck.

I hear ya on the medication part! I lost, then gained 90# back after being put on medications for back issues. I am slowly weaning down with hopes to jumpstart weight loss again. You can do it!
