To work to be closer to God. I would read my Bible more, attend all church functions, and live a more christian lead life. I would want to do this for my self so that this world we live in does not drag me down with it. There are so many negative things in it that only through God can I see the great things that do happen in this world.

If I could choose a new years resolution and know that I could stick to it 100% I would have to say that I would like to save money and learn to invest. That I would buy a home and have something for myself and my mom and kids that couldn't be taken away. I am a disabled veteran who has been homeless for about 7 years now.. I had no idea how important a credit score was and what I needed to do to get and keep it up. I would already have a home of my own and a vehicle if o would have known the importance of these things. Instead, I'm borrowing a car from my mother, only just asked the VA for help finding a place to live , and have no idea how to save money and not live paycheck to paycheck. I just want a home for me and my family. Maybe just putting it out into the world will help it ma ifest itself in reality. I've been struggling lately with a daughter who is bipolar and has such violent episodes that she demands all my attention. My mom and my 2 boys are staying with one of my friends. The VA had me in a hotel room for 1 month and it was supposed to be for whatever time it took to get a place but the hotel got my funding cut after my daughter had one of her episodes there in the middle of the night. I understand that she is hard to be around and it gets bad from time to time but I'm struggling already and now have no place to stay again ....... I just want a little bit of security. A place to live and call home. I have no more grand ideas than just somewhere to live.

I am focusing on the next step in my retirement journey. I retired 5 years ago after 32 years of service and decided to start another career. I went back to school to become a doctor of pharmacy. I graduate in May 2022 and so stoked to embark upon another adventure and give myself to another cause. I thank the VA's VRE services for assisting me along the way.

Not on the first of the year, but ALL the time - Getting in better shape is my intention. Important on so many levels to more than just me, my family needs me to do that as well.

Finish writing 4 novels. They have been in the half done stage for various parts of 7 years now. It's disgraceful. But, I've learned a lot in the intervening time. I've helped a lot of people. I've honed some skills, like my art. And my writing has progressed, I have published 2 novellas, but to actually finish the longer works, that would be awesome. Send me my magic!
I gave up New Year's resolutions per se, many years ago, and I do a theme word or phrase. It works pretty good for me. One year was, "I choose to live after the manner of happiness", another was "Breathe", Another, "Persistent Achievement", "Exceed", "Action!". This year was/is "No Excuses".

In all honesty, to continue with my mental health care team.
After 3 years of requesting help the VA finally stepped up and I have a great team trying to help me with some depression issues that caused my wife and daughter to move out. After 2 months of counseling and a little medication my relationship with my wife and daughter are literally at an all time best! I would love to see what can be accomplished this coming year.
If you need help, ask. If you don’t receive it, ask again, and again and again. You are worth it

my only resolution ever has been to do my best, I'm not perfect so its not a perfect resolution but its doable and easy enough to keep

Control my sending and save money so that that I can financially recover my construction business caused by this pandemic, so that I can provide for my family.
