I would like to have met Nanny of the Maroons, a Jamaican Heroine who led one of many fights for freedom during British Colonialism and Enslavement of Africans during the 1700's. She was a fierce leader and warrior, using guerilla warfare in the mountains to outwit British soldiers and free many Maroon Africans. To speak to her about her courage and tactics used in Guerilla Warfare would be a joy. I'm still in awe of the accounts of the many wars she fought and how she evaded capture. She's a true heroine. Moore Town is named after her and is a place to visit on my bucket list!

Honestly, I would go talk to my Grandfather. He served in the Corps in Vietnam, and was wounded three times before the last time left him permanently disabled (the tough SOB just kept going back). He died a few years before I was even born, but his example is one that left such a strong impression on the importance of Duty and Service for me. I won't say that all of my service (including outside the military) was due to his example, but it certainly played a large part in who I am today.

What a wonderful thing to have your heritage of heroism! I hope your generations are seeing you in the same light!

I would really like to meet Rosa Parks because she was a pioneer for equality for all Americans. Ms. Parks had the courage and strength to overcome the injustice that affects so many Americans. Additionally, racial and women's rights were highlighted by her courage to sit anywhere on the bus that she wanted. Ms. Parks endured being arrested for her beliefs for civil liberties for all Americans. Finally, Ms. Parks is a great example for all military and veterans because she was an example of strength and courage for everyone who is serving and who has fought for our country.

I met Rosa Parks at Monterey Penninsula College in the 80's. She said at first she did not move because she was tired! She had to have some great determination as well!!!

Paul, the apostle. For his revelation of scriptural truth and doctrinal understanding of the Word of God.

George Washington
Founding father and the person who is affectionately called the “Father of Our Nation." A military officer, statesman, founding father, commander-in-chief and first president.
I would have an expanded discussion with him and ask about the following: His underdog military strategy to the leadership principles behind forming a nation from 13 separate entities. Or what it was like to have Thomas Jefferson as your Secretary of State, Alexander Hamilton as your Secretary of the Treasury and John Adams as your Vice President.

He followed Sun Tzu to the letter. He made great use of spies and indians. He was a British officer, so he knew their tactics and flaws. He also had some of his own men executed, at Valley Forge. He wanted nothing to do with politics, he was more interested making whiskey and messing with his slaves.
