I'd like to meet President Teddy Roosevelt, the father of the American National Parks system. His foresight has and will allow generations of Americans to enjoy the natural beauty of our great geographical wonders. Without his insight and other advocacy from activists at the turn of the 20th century, many memories that I have created with my own son would not have been possible.

I would have liked to meet Colin Powell because he was such a powerful person who lead by example and not through fear or force. His words and actions were enough and his quotes and phrases have true meaning. Colin Powell man amongst giants

Abraham Lincoln - because of his insights and decisions during such a difficult time in America's history. How he selected his cabinet members although the majority of them were his rivals and how he decided to go into the civil war to ultimately keep a united nation and recognize the abolition of slavery.

Joan of Arc, wow, an unbelievable defender of her country France. She had the strength and confidence to go above and beyond, follow her convictions. She has been my inspiration since I was 12 and took her name for my Confirmation.

I would love to have met President Lyndon Baines Johnson.
This was one of the best "Social Presidents" we have ever known. The programs he instigated to Congress to pass helped were of great value to the American peoples. The Civil Rights Bill was one of his greatest domestic policies. Let alone his policies of Public Broadcasting. access to health care, aid to the American Arts, urban and rural development and public services.
It took courage for President Johnson to implement the civil rights of ALL Americans. Being a man from the South, being brought up in the prejudices of our Nation at the times, he lost a lot of friends supporting the rights of ALL Americans, overcame much of his ingrained prejudices to make sure that our Nation began to grow out of the dislike of Blacks and others of non-white Americans for no other reason than their heritage.
President Johnson was a man of courage and foresaw that there was some things very broken in our society and did his best to heal our Nation.

George Washington

Founding father and the person who is affectionately called the “Father of Our Nation." A military officer, statesman, founding father, commander-in-chief and first president. We would have an expanded discussion on his underdog military strategy to the leadership principles behind forming a nation from 13 separate entities. Or what it was like to have Thomas Jefferson as your Secretary of State, Alexander Hamilton as your Secretary of the Treasury and John Adams as your Vice President

I would really like to meet George Washington because he was our first US Army General to our newly formed continental Army, our first US President and one of our founding fathers. His legacy lives on to this day which is an amazing accomplishment.

Join nearly 2 million former and current members of the US military, just like you.
