If you could take ONE part of AR 670-1 out of the regulation what would it be?

Perhaps there should be a provision allowing fatigues to be worn by all nursing personnel in deployed medical facilities. Westmoreland's demand we wear starched white dresses in the red mud in winter and red dust in summer - not to mention when engaged in triage of men fresh from the field was not generally respected - and never should have been supported. Fatigues & boonie hats!!! The cape to be worn by women only at really fancy officer's parties. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)

Allowing the wear of Stetsons for cavalry units instead of patrol cap..not so much of a removal, just an add.

There are a couple I wouldn't mind seeing lightened up a little. I think the hair regulations could be lightened up a little to allow slightly longer hair styles for men and women. Also with Tattoos being so common in the civilian world I think they could allow tasteful (non-pornographic/ profane/ sexist, etc. tattoos like sleeves to be visible on forearms.

I think during this uniform transition period they should keep the desert sand colored boots belts and under shirt for the OCP uniform of course have the coyote brown under shirts belts and boots but keep the desert sand stuff for deploying troops to the middle east.

Do you really think ALL of the regs were put in place for a good reason?

So even though the tattoo policy is constantly changing, among so many other things apparently, the regs as they stand have to be followed and never changed (until they decide to change it again) or you could get yourself killed (until they decide to allow those forearm tattoos again, as they were allowed when I was in)
