This was an old post here on RallyPoint, but it's still a great question today RP Members. Let's give it another shot for the new Connections out there!

If you were ask this question during an interview what would your answer be?

Let's get some real participation here for those active service members getting ready to transition, so they have this in their tool kit. This is just one of the top interview questions potential Employers could ask you.

Let's see what we can get from all the RallyPoint Membgers on this one!

What is that one key word that will make you stand out above the rest of the competition?

Think about it - this is a big question!

Not a question I have ever been asked or asked of anyone I was interviewing. HR, however may ask such a question since few of them actually do the hiring.

If you had only one word to describe yourself for a potential Employer, what would it be?

I agree, but the word leader makes me wonder how many civilian employers out there are expecting a veteran who says that to take over things just because that's what they see on TV...

Maj John D Benedict - Use the word leader and then explain how you have led and will bring leadership to the job being discussed. Or give examples of leadership from your prior jobs.
