I spent 3.5 years stationed out of Pearl. That was the 70's so had 2 Vietnam deployments during that time. Been back since and I would say if you are single, especially if you ride a motorcycle, its a good place to be stationed. If you go there with your family it kind of sucks. Long drive back to the mainland! :-)
