If you know your soldier has a fever, do you still make him take a PT test? Even when soldier still has one on record last 6 months?

Send him to sick call immediately. If he’s sick - remember , at the end of the day we’re humans - he’ll get proper care. If no, then Article 115 ought to suffice.

It's obvious he's sick. Coughing up all day and looking miserable. When did NCO's lose the power to look out for their soldiers? He could always take another apft next week.

How do you know they have a fever? Why are they not at sick call? If they have a fever they should be at sick call.

Sir, our facility doesn't offer sick call. He'd have to try and make a same day appointment.

SFC (Join to see) I've got you with the no sick call. Where I am now it literally doesn't exist. They have a medical station where i work, but that's away from where i live. The one time i was sick i had to go to the ER just to please my work leadership.
Now like almost all others have said (restores faith in good NCO's) i wouldn't test him either. If he has been sick, never fail, and still current, that's a no brainer.
If the command team pushes it, then have the SM go to the ER (just to please them as i had to) and call it good, but hopefully they will just trust your judgement call and no harm no foul.

If the soldier is sick and claims to be sick, then you should either take them at their word and test later, or insist that they seek medical attention. If that means going to the ER or seeking a same-day appointment then so be it. I don't know much about the Army but in the Air Force, before any PT Test was administered we had to fill out a form stating that we felt able to take the test. If you were sick, you were expected to seek medical attention.
