How often are you in your dress uniform? I have air assault wings, drivers badge and expert shooter on mine but i only have worn it a handful of time since ive been in. If you earned it show it off. Nothing says you can't. My 2 cents.

No. I could see the driver badge but not the grenade badge. That seems a bit to basic training-ish for me. When I was at Bragg we would only wear Expert Rifle. It didn't matter what other quals you have. It would just be too much.

I am glad as an officer I don't wear anymore of those.

When did you last qual with grenades.

I qualified with live grenades every 6-8 months while assigned to my last SIGNAL UNIT, believe it or not. it was crazy how a 100 mam company would put on a live grenade range, but very informative and actually fun.

Technically anyone who qualifies with either hand grenades, the MK-19, the M203 or the M320 would all be authorized the GRENADE qualification bar.

It applies to far more than just the Basic Training initial tosses.

As long as you are current in all three, go for it.

I think the Grenade badge is a bit over the top. You could but then why. I didn't realize anyone qualifies on grenades outside of basic training.

I was shocked when my SIGNAL company put a live hand grenade range on, lol

If you've earned the driver badge, Expert Grenadier badge and Sharpshooter badge, would you wear all 3?

SGT Pefley, this brings me to 2 points: if unable to update the DA photo, at some point your badge should expire; and 2, it can be 1 additional area to be looked at for the SFC board, and on your photo, and have known the Grenadier badge to cause controversy, due to it falling under personal achievements in EMilpo, however, there are also individuals that will argue that if not granted the opportunity to re qualify you would continue to wear it, similar to recruiters, when unable to qualifying, they continue to wear their marksmanship badge from previous assignments. having said that, I have also qualified with the M9, as expert, that was 3 years ago in my Infantry Division (I was support), should I still wear the pistol qual?

by regulation you ARE authorized to wear up to 3(interesting since theres only 3 levels) So i would say that if you are current in your documentation, go for it, expert pistol? no 3 years is a bit out of date. I can't say as I've seen anyone sporting the grenadier tab outside of IET, for the reasons you stated. So for the sake of SFC board, the less chance there is to question your accomplishments the better it is for you.

My thought process as well, just trying to see what other answers would come up, as I'm currently at SLC, and have had some overly heated discussions in regards, lol
