I'll go first. I tried cow tongue when I was in Africa. It might of tasted good if it had good seasoning on it.

SPC Joseph Gordon Wow. That questioned pulled up a long ago memory! Lol. It wasn't from overseas deployment, though.
Mom prepared cow's tongue for dinner one time, when I was in elementary school. She thought it was precooked, and served slices of extremely tough "meat". Luckily Dad saved the day by realizing it was not cooked - so I didn't have even taste it! He was raised on a farm so they may have eaten cow's tongue. I guess it was too much of a traumatic experience for Mom, to ever try serving it again!
I've always wondered what cooked, well seasoned, not tough cow's tongue taste like. I recall that uncooked it resembled the texture of chicken gizzards.

To go with the mystery rodent meat, questionable local beer with formaldehyde. When your nose went numb, it was wise to shift to Carlsberg or Heineken. BTW formaldehyde farts stick to everything.
