Tell her don't join 37X, enlist as another MOS and then go to selection once she's at her first duty station. The Xray pipelines have high attrition rate and when you fail you are now stuck with a five year contract and your MOS is the needs of the Army

While I spent 15 years as a 37F, active duty, even then it was 2:1 dwell. However, many weren't that lucky. The OPTEMPO was high, but a very satisfying job. Definitely set me up for a career after retirement. I would also recommend against the 37X program. Need to get feet wet first and then decide.

If you live near an Army installation see the 37F Recruiter. He or she will give you and your daughter all the information you need.

The regiment works at 2:1 dwell. 2 months home for every 1 month deployed. This doesn’t include CTCs, CERTEXs, and VALEXs. Deployments are typically 6 months and generally language aligned, ie. PACOM based language speakers deploy to PACOM, EUCOM to EUCOM, etc.
