Three days into PreRanger Course and I fell into a man hole about 4 feet deep and broke my right middle finger. Damn my luck.

Withdraw if it is hurting you and limiting your ability to grasp or climb. You have to pass Malvesti and Darby Queen Obstacle Courses and "hell/RAP week". Ranger School is difficult enough without injuries, I know first hand. Heal and return, that is the best way. Remember there are three things that get you through Ranger School: a lot of training and preparation before you get there, a little knowledge, and a hell of a lot of luck. Luck that that your in a good fair platoon/company, that the RI abides by the motto :coach teach and mentor, that the weather is not to brutal, and that you don't get sick or injured. There is enough stacked against you. Heal and return when healthy.

Well, think of it this way: When you heal up, and get back, you'll be three days ahead in experience!

No recycle in Pre-Ranger if you pass, that is they 99% of time will not hold you for Ranger School. You are either a recommended Go or not.

you can fail pre Ranger and goto Ranger School if your command supports it. 2 of my SF buddies did just that in my class.
Neither passed RAP week.

Heal and go back. Ranger school is hard enough and going there with a pre existing injury is like going there with a predetermined no go or a med drop waiting to happen. Only 50% make it, and they do it by staying healthy.....-ish. That said, I'm suprised the dropped you for a broken finger. I have seen guys continue with worse and the RIs knew about it.
