I am looking at taking the IFPC, but I have a few questions for those that have taken it, or are familiar with it:

1. Is it worth receiving the credentials?
2. How difficult is the exam?
3. Where can I find study material?
4. Is there a cost associated with sitting for the exam?

Thanks!

And look at this, esp if STEM stuff might interest you, ops research is often overlooked, I've sent this in here many times, their journal is quite good....

If you'd ever care to chat about the whole topic, I'd be most interested, certainly...had you ever heard of the group at all? When I was Army ROTC, before I went USAF OTS, the PMS of my program taught mil history using a good deal of board wargaming, I got really engrossed in it, I did a paper for him, it got me the only award I ever got in the program, the 78 AUSA-Army ROTC mil history award...I'd be most eaer to know if you have any similar interests, whenever convenient...also, I'd be interested to know if you're applied math, physics, engineering, or anything similar...I rarely encounter anyone on here with serious ops-research interests, I have serious interests in game theory, linear and nonlinear proramming, simplex method, and PERT/critical-path method (CPM)...any similar and/or overlapping interests at all by any chance?

Same here...I'd had an O-6 recommend from my unit CO, I really wanted it and seriously tried, I couldn't get it, they also have online, AFIT I don't know about online, though you could check, certainly, as well, of course....

I'm not saying you want this, I'd merely stumbled across is sometime ago, as I'd looked at going USCG Aux, and looked through a good many of their sites....

There's more on it...I'd expect active duty could also submit for it, as well, probably...just food for thought....

I'm planning to take it. Lot of my retired peers have PMP and whatever certs they could get while retiring since costs is usually covered by GoArmy Ed, GI bill or waived altogether.

CPT(P) (Join to see) - This is a DoD certification, and recognized around the world as being the best program. Yes, it is always worth having the credentials. The exam is just as difficult as any other certification exam - those that worth their weight. The DoD provides that information here: https://dodcertpmo.defense.gov/IFPC/. Usually there isn't a cost, but here is the handbook: https://dodcertpmo.defense.gov/Portals/62/documents/Candidate%20Appendices/IFPC%20Candidate%20Handbook% [login to see] .pdf.
