Its not a measure of who is bolder. Its just a fact Russia fears zero from this president so they will do as they please. Think Putin would do this with RR in office?

PO2 Mark Saffell - Probably. RR's myth has far surpassed his reality. He bombed Libya and talked shit to an already collapsing USSR. He also sold weapons to Iran and opted to not respond at all when the Beirut barracks were bombed. He very much seems to have taken the bully route in only punching enemies that would not or could not respond in kind.

I'm not entirely sure Putin is capable of fear. Bush knew it, Obama knows it. Trying to manhandle him is far more likely to put us into a full-scale conflict than get us what we want. It's simply not worth it when Russia doesn't offer a true existential threat.

I was in the Navy during Jimmy's Carters year and not to forget Billy Carter or Billy Beer. Most sailors or military for that matter would have taken Carter to sea and dumped his butt midway between Hawaii and China. People either remember RR in a good light or bad. You may be right about Bush and Obama but He didnt attack while Bush was in office. Obama's reversal on the missile defense system was the start of his being run over by Russia. The Line Syria couldnt cross but did made it even worse.
