I was glad to read that this ridiculous military parade had been pushed back to 2019. In my opinion we shouldn't put ourselves in the same sentence as N.K or Russia with military parades. I prefer to speak softly and carry a big stick, these parades are just to stroke the ego of dictators/presidents/prime ministers it does nothing for the nation except waste tax payers money. Considering our infrastructure is in dire need of attention, it would make more sense to use these funds for that. But this is my opinion and I know some may think that this parade would do good for the nations morale and show the world our military strength( we shouldn't have to)

Regardless of the price tag- I'm interested in everyone's thoughts regarding if we feel this parade is something the Military would benefit from. Would our Nation benefit from it? Is it worth the money, time and effort? Just interested in the overall opinion of having it at all.
I saw a comment below stating its worth after a victory in a major conflict. How would we justify it without something like that?

Most of it's logistics and moving everything around. You ought to know beauracracy by now lol. They can calculate a sandwich to $1000.

SSG Jose M. Hernandezsanchez but you and I both know it will just get lost in the bureaucratic black hole that is the DoD and the government. At least just for once I'd know where it went. As of this morning, parade cancelled.

I would say it's only worth it immediately after we've just won a major conflict. Otherwise, I would say "No."
