Is a circumcision something that the army would disqualify you for or ask waiver for. The process was obviously personal nothing risky, would this prevent me from getting a waiver.

Also if USAREC miss read my med docs and still asked for me to submit supporting document but all I got was a clarification from the hospitals and not pharmacy record would this suffice as supporting documents. (Memorandum and addendum for the part they became confused)?

If that was a disqualifyer, then there would be a shit ton of us that got in under a fraudulent enlistment.

That’s what I thought, I know of former battle buddies who had and they were in. Now they are giving me the Tun around because of it asking for millions of documents.

SPC Jeffrey Tamayo - that doesn't sound right. Did you have it recently? When I underwent multiple precommissioning physicals I'd had one for 20 odd years. Was not even a mention never mind a conversation nor even a "thing". Unless you had two at the same time, now that would be a conversation.

*Cough* lol... sorry for laughing. No, circumcision is not even something that the military or MEPS screens for. It's a flap of skin and nothing more. It does not impair a warfighter other than being a few square inches that needs cleaning, or not.

All good lol, I found it weird man no lie. But I think they are confused about something else in my med record when I had the procedure something was asked twice but answered once, so they want it to be answer twice even tho is already answered

That was my mistake even mentioning it to the recruiter. What gets me is he told me to say no to shellfish allergies lol but for this he asks for documents. Now my whole thing is mess up

Was this due to Phimosis? If so, possibly refer to DoDI 6130.03, ch 5-14, l. “History of chronic or recurrent scrotal pain or unspecified symptoms associated with male genital organs.”
That stated, a waiver shouldn’t be an issue.

I spoke to my recruiter, and he also stated that they are requesting document asking about hypertension and cardiovascular issues but I’ve never had those, and my med record states that on one page but no two pages later, so that was a new issue that is was answer on one page but not on another. Ridiculous lol

SPC Jeffrey Tamayo - yes, But was your circumcision due to phimosis? Or did you simply get clipped as a baby, and now they’re weirdly making an issue about it?

SPC Jeffrey Tamayo - a waiver shouldn’t be an issue. Just jump through the hoops. A letter from your doc/surgeon stating “this surgery won’t have any negative impact on any future military service” also couldn’t hurt.

Best of luck

That’s not really a illness or disease that can affect your work. More than half of men have had the procedure

I'm confused are you prior service? This should of already been screened your first time enlisted and if you received a waiver before it should still be valid.

I am not entirely sure what you are asking. Are you asking if a circumcision disqualify you from being in the Army? Is this a prank question? If not, I am guessing someone is pulling your leg. No, it does not. And, in fact, *a lot* of males in the world have them (not just Jews), in case you weren't aware. At one time even all the way up to the 90s they were even done regularly in hospitals not long after boys were born. They are still done today quite frequently (not just for religious reasons). So again, no, this question is both strange, and out-of-place.

If you are NOT circumcised it can be a disqualifier. It's based on how far back you can pull the foreskin. (Its a hygienic issue). I had this happen to an applicant, but I got him a waiver.

I'm wondering if they simply want it because it is considered a surgery, and therefore need record of it? Kind of like Wisdom Teeth? I wouldn't see it as disqualifying, unless there were health issues related to it AFTER the procedure.

Im really confused honestly. We submitted the documents and I guess meps submitted the same ones again, not the new ones I gave my recruiter. So I don’t even know if they have submitted the new one and neither does the recruiter. I’m like in limbo land, that’s why I am wondering if I really need to submit it or just make a new prescreen

I'm wondering if the recruiters stationed at MEPS need to start a fire to find out if the issues was simply caused by submission of duplicate records & if a new prescreen would resolve the issue. I would think your recruiter could get in touch w/ the recruiters physically at MEPS to get it done.
