I am a National Staff Officer with the USCG Auxiliary, Branch Chief-Atlantic East for the Recruiting Division. Has anyone else ever considered joining the USCG Auxiliary once they leave AD Military?

Yes. Currently doing double duty as a Flotilla Commander and as the Division Chief for Project Management in the C-Directorate. Realized after I left the Navy that I wasn't done serving. Glad the Auxiliary gives me the opportunity to benefit my community.

If you ever might possibly have some time, I could really use some advice about HR and recruiting...I've sent a good deal into the site and app about wanting to go with them, the problem is, I'm total perm disabled, the rules about what I can volunteer with are pretty strict...I've got a good many questions, I've been over to a couple of flotillas, I'd really be most eager to do it, just for something to do, I've looked at one aviation flotilla by us, as well as a regular flotilla nearby...I'd seen what you'd said about being national staff for recruiting, that was why I thought you might be an esp. good one to try to ask, you know? If you could ever possibly get back to me, I'd obviously be most obliged...I know the restrictions might seem a trifle arcane, however, there is some stuff I could use some advice about, honest, many thanks....

I was not able to go Active due to Asthma on my record after 13.. It was miss labeled as I was given an inhaler for a cough from "valley fever" I have taken test to prove otherwise to no luck.. So the next best thing is the Auxiliary and to help where I can since I was never in it for the money anyways.
