That's not unusual. Both of my undergraduate degrees (one of which is from UMUC, 2009) just have the degree, not the discipline on them. I think it has to do with the way the Maryland Higher Education Commission accredits the programs.

I graduated in 1996 and 1998 with a Bachelor's degree, and I don't remember whether or not they put the degree on there... but my 2001 Master's degree says Master of Software Engineering. It's there.

Good for you. I graduated in 2003...I called to complain and they basically said 'shut up and color'

Campbell University did the same for me with my associates and bachelors. It probably depends on the college or that is the norm.
