Is anyone on here reasonably high up within VA Central Ofc. (VACO), by any chance?

I've been trying for some time to be allowed to volunteer with VA, as I've sent stuff in about for awhile now, to be able to assist with ongoing VA clinical research. I've submitted to the purely volunteer/goodwill, unpaid VA voc-rehab and educ (VR&E) mechanisms, as well as spoken with God only knows how many VACO staff about the whole thing, on both the VBA and VBA sides, incl. at the VA hospital near us, about my seeking to be so allowed. I could really use any possible help, advice, whatever, in trying to help speed by bureaucratic/admin train along; I was emailed back a cpl of days ago by one of those I'd chatted with in VACO, I was told it's being looked into, that for sure. I'd just love to find out if anyone on here is sufficiently high up in the VACO food chain to be able to yak with more about my whole thing, for whatever other possible help I might be able to find through the group here, honest. For whatever any of you might be able to do to try to answer, whether you're up there in the VACO food chain, as I'd said, know anyone, or have any other sage words of wisdom, my wife and I would obviously be most indebted. I know, I'm Don Quixote tilting at the windmill, looking for a Sancho Panza, however, if nothing else, hopefully, you'll all at least give me an "A" for creativity, if nothing else, you know? Much appreciated, many thanks....

Have you tried reaching out to the Red Cross office in the area of the hospital you’re trying to volunteer with or the Red Cross office in the VA clinic? A lot of the volunteers at VA and Military hospitals go through Red Cross office....

I can't, honest, it's been suggested before, it's not what I'm good at or meant to do, I'm pure wannabe clinical-research scientist, trust me, I assure you, that idea's been floated many times, I wouldn't be good at it, and I couldn't accomplish any of my life ambitions doing that, regardless of how socially redeeming it might be, which I obv know it is, certainly, promise...though I do appreciate the thought, by all means....

I was trained to be an allied-health doctor, in part at VA hospitals...I've wanted clinical research for 44 yrs, honest, I can't play act at something else, regardless of how much good it might do others, trust me, I wouldn't last five minutes doing it, I assure you, I know precisely where I belong, and that definitely ain't it, for sure, no matter how much it might be suggested, only a fool doesn't know their own limitations, and believe me, I most definitely know mine by now, positively....
