Is anyone willing to help out with an academic research project looking at role transitions?
I’m a platoon leader with about 10 months of platoon leader time. I’d be willing to help if you still need it
I believe I sent an email a few weeks back. But yes, I don’t mind helping out still
I follow...I take it you're doing masters or Ph.D,? Also, I'd found this an interesting website, there are non-mil ops-research societies also, obviously, I merely mention it as, when I did quantitative mgmt stuff, I'd developed a serious interest in it, generally, it kinda tends to be missed by many doing stuff like you're involved with, I just was curious if you ever had any exposure to it at all, I'd be interested knowing if you might find ops research of any use and/or value, just wondered....

This is commercial...the home license is fairly cheap, a couple of hundred bucks, with both MATLAB and SIMULINK, the only thing is, while there's a good deal of video stuff from them on how to use it, as well as on YouTube, the videos tend to go at a snail's pace, I'd found, plus, anytime you want to add features, it costs, not outrageously so, however, it's not a freebie, the thing is, virtually EVERYBODY in serious science uses it, I'd found, honest....

This is a pure open source freebie, I just found a paperback text on using it I got on using it a month or so ago, I'll try to send the link...the user group for this one is REALLY active, seriously....
This is a really interesting little Federal freebie, very little known now, it's been out for about three decades, though I know I'm feeling like Methuselah saying that, of course...sometimes, it can be tricky to get running, so you might need to call them, however, it's got some really interesting features, I've known about it a really long time (as you probably guessed by now, of course)....
