SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL
When I joined in 1989, discipline was the cornerstone of the Army, training, leadership and Military bearing was at a all time high. The 11 leadership principals and 9 competencies were a must for Leaders. NCOs had to take a Skills Qualification Test (SQT), and every NCO had to do Common Task Test (CTT). It's sad, in my opinion that shoot, move communicate skills are diminishing throughout the Army. I retire this year with 25 years and would love the leagacy to continue," No one is more professional, than I, I am a Noncommissioned Officer a leader of Soldiers!" Sound off and let's continue the leading, training, mentoring and winning our Nations wars!

Many NCO's find the new generation of soldiers to lack respect and discipline.
What is your opinion on this subject? Is it natural to think this or is this newest generation different?
