Do you have a valid reason to request to not go to school?
You can't just say "no" to attending, would be similar to disobeying an order. If you have valid reasons for not attending at this time and there is time to cancel or substitute someone else into your seat then it there is a chance you can not go right now.

It's in the PDM for a Skill Level 1 91S as Functional Training. It allows you to serve as a Recovery Vehicle Operator..one of 2 positions for a Level 1 91S. Your unit likely needs a H8 91S and you performed well to be recommended. You can request to not go, but they will likely push that you go, especially if you have a ATRRS slot already.
It also separates you from your peers when it comes time for promotion.

It is required if you are in a recovery operator or NCO slot. Its a good course to attend, don’t short sell yourself.
