The VA would be a definite yes. The Vet Centers however are for combat Veterans and sexual assault victims.

There are about 300 Vet Centers, usually physically separate from other VA facilities, where certain vets--and even some families--are eligible to get counseling for MST, PTSD, bereavement, etc. The system has a very good reputation.

Vet Centers serve all vets, and provide some services for family members too. I had never heard of them until my wife started going to their deployment support group. They are also confidential and don't report to DOD.

So I'm not disputing legality, I'm asking opinion. I feel that the benefits and services are there for service members who did more than hook up AFN.

MSgt Michael Smith - How so? And you can use big words, I worked at the VA helping veterans get their medical claims paid.
