Is it appropriate to ask the members of the SOM board to "please rise for the reciting of the soldiers creed"?

I am wondering because i snap to attention to recite the creed, however, is it appropriate out of respect for the creed because its a custom/courtesy and its used for every soldier.

STAND at the position of attention, and key word is STAND, heard of SM’s still remaining seated during this which is a NO-GO. Eyes forward right above President of the Board, Start it off with the “the Soldier’s Creed!” Know all the words and recite that meaningful creed good, clear, concise, loud, and at a good pace throughout. Practice in the mirror. This is setting the tone for the POB and members of board. Express the creed like it should be conducted. By you having the intenstinal fortitude by going separates you from your peers. Been to many boards and even sat on as member, I’ve never heard anyone doing it any differently. Keep composed, know your info off the MOI, uniform squared away and you’ll be fine! Good luck! And after you crush it, teach others your skills so they understand the board process. That’s what it’s all about!!

During a Creed no.
But when I was a sponsor for one of my soldiers during a BWC board one of the CSM had my soldier sing the Army song from the very beginning. oh did that back fire on him I don't think he realized during all his questions that it is actually regulation for everyone to stand and sing the song when it starts.... I looked kind of like a fool because I did not know the first part hence it was at the beginning of my switch over to the Army but I could deal with it. lmao

My apologies. I should have added that this is a perfect question for your 1SG who will know the Battalions standards.
