I am closing in on my last six months on two masters degrees and have worked in training and development for 6 years. I am just know hearing about these licenses. So simple question do I now need to spend more money to get these licenses to help with landing a career rather then the jobs I have been doing.

Depends on the state you live in and/or plan to teach. Some also depend on local government as well. You should research where you plan to teach and see if those are requirements for that area so that you don't spend money on a license you don't need.

From my experience as a hiring official in the military and private sector, I can attest that credentialed job seekers fair better than non-credentialed job seekers when all other factors are equal. As an SPHR, I recommend sitting for the exam since it is an objective assessment of your knowledge and experience from a trusted industry source--the Human Resources Certification Institute. Best of luck!
