Is it normal for MEPS to cancel because they are backed up, and then to delay rescheduling?

That is not unusual. Dealing with MEPS is extremely frustrating for us, but I have to remind myself that they have their own mission and procedures designed to save taxpayers money. Sometimes that means they are understaffed and can't process that actions as fast as we need. USAREC got a four day this weekend, so we lost a processing day and the floor may be full when they are trying to project you. Just work with your recruiter and stay motivated.

Has the Recruiter reached out with an update or has your son reached out to the Recruiter asking about any updates?

Depends on the circumstance. I have seen delays and rescheduling for certain things like a more detailed eye exam. I know when I was a recruiter, sending medical documents down to be read to see if they are accepted or not, they would somehow get lost. Of course it could be the recruiter too. Can you share what you are being told?

Regina Herzog That is very vague. I would ask for specifics. I have never experienced a backlog. I had to have them on the schedule by a certain time every day. I have never seen where anything took longer than 10 days. That was just reading documents or a waiver. I would seek out more in depth information. In my opinion, something does not add up. It could be completely legitimate, I personally have never seen it.

There is an issue with the MEPS communication systems right now. Delays are going to happen until fixed. It’s unfortunate but is what it is as of now
