So to make a long story short I am currently deployed with the 82nd airborne in Afghanistan and am thinking about trying to get into the green to gold non-scholarship program when I return to garrison in March as I am currently working on my Associates of Applied Science in Information Technology from Purdue Global and am on track to graduate in March. After some research I found that Campbell University about 30 minutes away from FT Bragg offers a Bachelors of Applied Science in Information Technology program which is offered fully online. Theoretically If accepted into the program I might be able to take all my core classes online and take ROTC at the main campus as an elective which would be the best case scenario as I am a resident of North Carolina and only live about an hour from the university. I sent an email to the FT Bragg Green to Gold Adviser who told me I would most likely be eligible for the summer of 2020 semester. So in summary my main questions are:

1. Is it possible to commission with a Bachelors of Applied Science at all being that its a more technical degree.

2. Is it possible to take online classes in addition to ROTC?

3. To anyone who is familiar with the non-scholarship option and the simultaneous membership program how much of the tuition cost do guard benefits actually cover?

4. How to I actually initiate the process and when should I actually apply to the university?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

And this, you'd have to ask if IT would be allowed, rather than comp.sci (CS), obv....

And this...it does.lost that it's regionally.access through Southern Assoc, just make absolutely sure the program is also regionally accred, not just the school, and ask every svc you'd try to use it for if it'd be acceptable to them before you'd start it...check, never assume, OK? Trust me, been there, done that (BTDT)....

These are on ACE, incl their mil/vet transcript group, you can ask about the school you want with them, I'm fairly sure....

http://www.ocsfoundation.org

This isn't all inclusive, no Army WOCS, no LIE orograms, however it does cover the five main OCS, the forum pages are quite good....
