Currently a 34 y/o HM2 with 11 years active Duty time. I hold a BA, and currently working on my MBA in cyber security. advancement doesn't look to be in my future so have been looking into entering civilian law enforcement. my question, Is It possible to cross rate from Active duty to the reserves? I.e, HM to MA?

PO2 (Join to see) Yes, it is possible. When you are ready to transition out, get with the Reserve Counselor, and tell them what you want to do. Be aware that unit orders in the Reserves are not like AD, and neither is promotion.

Just so you know, I was a Yeoman. I still have friends in the Navy. I can continue to check with them.
