My unit canceled my ALC date for honestly a dumb reason but that is for another time. However my question is can I request an ALC date myself? And if so how I do not want to end up like others I have heard about waiting for years to go to ALC cause I don't have that time to wait.

Ok, that "dumb reason" is going to be a relevant piece of information here if you want answers that will actually help your situation.

What is your date of rank, and when did you complete DLC2.

And was that canceled date one that was reserved by HRC, or by your unit?

And why exactly do you not "have time to wait" for ALC? Are you at the top of the E6 promotion list for 89B?

In short, it is possible to request a reservation, but for ALC seats mostly centrally booked by HRC based on promotions and promotion lists (priorities) you need to meet that same level of priority, or just below that if all those priorities have been booked and there are remaining seats.

All valid points. To answer your questions:

The reason was a hight and weight flag. Which has be rectified and now passing both ACFT and HT/WT.

My date of rank for E5 April 1 2021
I made cut off so E6 as of June 1st
DLC was completed around April 2021 or so.

SGT (Join to see) - So, your previous reservation was direct reserved by HRC at Knox.
They also posted your points total in ATRRS, showing why they were inputting you for ALC. And that was late APR for a JUN report.
It looks like they were trying to do the right thing and avoid more empty seats for the rest of the year.
With 95 seats next year, looks like they would want to do the same thing.
But you would need to be eligible: you would need at least six months from the end of your course to ETS.
A one year extension would make you eligible for every class next FY, and there's a very good chance they will put you into one of those as it approaches 60 days out, again.
If you get selected for promotion, there's a 100% chance they will reserve you for a class.

Your immediate goal or reason for staying or leaving shouldn't be ALC, it should be making SSG.
If you want to make SSG, then extend for a year, either way you'll get to ALC.
If this isn't about making SSG, just ETS.

One itvis an ATRS function. Two there was a reason and significant enough for you to want to circumvent. Do you think this wise, let’s say you somehow got yourself a seat, and whatever you did is still fresh on the minds of the command, what do you believe will happen. In the end of the day the unit has to support you if you are to attend. Fix the issue and stand by.
