Is it possible to serve on FTNGD Counter Drug orders while you are a cadet in traditional (State) OCS?

I'm currently a SPC in the CAARNG serving on FTNGD for Counter Drug and wanted to know if anybody has attended State OCS while on Counter Drug orders? I know that soldiers serving on Title 32 AGR tours are allowed to attend State OCS (NGR 600-5, Chapter 4-4c). Is this the same for soldiers serving on FTNGD-CD which falls under Title 32 USC Section 502(f) (NGB 500-2, Chapter 8-1)?
Any insight or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I would make that inquiry through you chain of command. A lot will depend on type of orders you are on.

You will want to check with you commander. Those orders are usually cut for specific ranks and sometimes specific MOS's. I would think that once you became a cadet you are no longer eligible to hold that slot under those orders. Your command would likely need to cut new orders to be legitimate. Keep in mind that once you are a cadet you are technically no longer MOS-Qed. But, the Counter Drug program is just as hinky as the AGR program so they may just sweep it under the rug and let you stay. Verify first.

I thought the State Police paid for those orders in a roundabout way? I doubt the police are going to pay for you to go to OCS. I believe they usually break one set of orders and then put you on ADT for the periods you are at training.

Thanks for the reply SFC. From what I’ve been briefed by my chain of command when I began these orders, the Counter Drug programs nationwide receive funding from NGB, who then allocate funding to the states based on a bunch of different statistics. I’m not sure how much State Police money is involved in my state. But I’ll definitely contact my chain of command like Chief suggested and update this thread once I get an answer.
