I'm not talking about going and getting plowed everyday or night. Just being able to get together with like minded folks, with similar experiences for a beer or two. I've found that you really cannot discuss military "stuff" with civilians, they have no frame of reference or understanding (or they think that going on a mission to Peru with the church is the same as going to Afghanistan with the PRT for year)....anyway just looking for thoughts.

What is wrong with a occasional drink? the problem is when you get addicted to it.

I have been to VFW and Legion Posts that do not have bars. I have been to VFW and Legion Posts that do have bars. The AMVETS Post #1 in Tacoma, Washington has a bar and food service and you don't have to have been in a war zone or in the service during a time of war to join AMVETS.
