Is making a soldier do PT during lunch break normal?

A soldier with perfect conduct and performance record (6+ years). Never overweight, never pt failure, not even ever requiring to be taped, never flagged, ever (even after having two children has always met height and weight standards BEFORE returning from maternity leave). Always shows up to PT and gives it her all, not on profile, no excuses.
After informing PSG about PT schedule conflicting with son's new school drop off she was given two options: work an impossible swing shift that would further conflict with mission/family or do PT during lunch.
Doing PT on their own not being an option even though there are plenty (more than a quarter of the PLT) of people that don't show up to PT in the morning for a variety of reasons (including people that actually DO struggle with weight and PT).
Another important detail... this is all happening when she is only roughly two months from clearing and going on terminal leave.
A few more known details... Soldier is not a single soldier but is in a hostile relationship with unemployed husband who does not have a vehicle. Can't afford additional child care to arrange for a third party to drop off son.

My god, this sounds like some MEDCOM Hospital BS.
Nothing is normal in MEDCOM, the hospital isn't the Army, but you can see it from there.

PT during lunch isn't unheard of. It is pretty common. The fact she is being given an alternative option due to her family obligation is proof the unit is willing to work with her.
