I have an approved DD368 from the NG to go active army, my recruiter said meps was closed due to corona. If it is, how long is it supposed to be closed / is there an expected date for it to open again? My 368 expires June 10th.

I would call on Monday to see if there is a response. There should be a recorded message if MEPS is closed.

I know this post is a month old, but I am in a similar situation and wanted to share what little information I have received. I’m going reserve-active right now and am also just waiting to go to MEPS. My recruiter/liason explained that the individual army offices at every meps location is deciding whether to operate or now depending on the density of the virus in their surrounding area. My meps location is up in Mass, and since my meps location (and I assume yours in NJ) are still in the hotspots for the virus, they aren’t opening yet. They are re-evaluating every 14 days. Hopefully your recruiter is keeping up with his recruits and will let you know as soon as you are able to go again. Right now mine is hoping to reopen for army/Air Force after Memorial Day. Hopefully yours opens up soon as well!

I’m still in the same boat. I have people in mass who deal with meps and have said Boston meps is still processing so I would make some calls, ask some questions if I were you. As for New Jersey my recruiter said they should be opening up this week we are in right now, hopefully as I am clearly almost out of time before going to have to apply for an extension. Good luck to you though

Thank you! I am out of Springfield meps and not Boston sadly because I live in CT. My original meps date was for today actually and got bumped.

Yeah I’m processing in from New Jersey, I called meps headquarters here, army and Air Force are shut down indefinitely as of now, guess I’ll just have to wait and hope my 368 doesn’t expire and or apply for extension if needed
