Is pay increase automatic when promoted or do you need to go to finance?

You’ll find out on your next LES. One way to know if your paperwork was submitted correctly is to check your SRB, if it says SGT with DOR today, then it’s likely you’ll be paid as an E5 on your next check.

You should see the increase on your mid month check and will see the whole amount on your end of month LES

1) It is automatic.
2) Pay has been known to lag by a month. If it doesn't show up on the 1st, don't panic, but *do* let your 1st line know.
3) May want to look at better tags. This really has nothing to do with BLC or NCOA.

Promotions, and demotions, are entered into the payroll system and all pay and benefits are paid base upon the date of the order. You need take no action unless the pay is incorrect on the first day of next month. It might take a couple of weeks for the orders to catch up, but I doubt it, in the pay system.

The pay jump is going to be automatic, but what might need a conversation with Finance is if your date of rank is back dated beyond a few pay periods. Then you might have to go chase those funds.
