Pretty damn nervous, I ship to Airborne in 3 days. The Drill Sargeants are saying there’s a fifty percent fail rate. I’m fine with my run (13:30) and with the idea of jumping, just wondering about the 41 and 52 club. Are they really looking to fail that many people?

Out of 4 of my buddies who have gone so far 2 of them got 41’D and it’s a real possibility. Just try to stand out when it comes to PT

Well if you're that concerned about getting stuck at 41 or 52, then you probably shouldn't be going to Airborne School yet anyway. If you have to worry about it, your score is too low.

It's very real...at least I know the 41 club is. They intentionally over book every cycle so they HAVE to fail soldiers. I was high speed and squared away, a top notch soldier. I was so squared away and Hooah! my chain of command approved my request to go airborne... In an M.O.S. that has no use for airborne at that! I was a 14e (patriot missile) and since I got approved four of my buddies did too. First day there I knew they had their eye on me as in a room at desks with other trainees the pg walked past 9 columns and in six chairs and told me I had to go pick weeds. I asked him why me and he said "you were the first one I saw". The story goes in depth of how an mp caught the sergeant airbornes lying on statements. Overall, keep your head down and chin up.

If you do quality pushups and situps, you'll have nothing to worry about. After the APFT, the hardest part about jump school is waiting to graduate.
PV2 Joseph Woloszyn, the truth is they are n’t looking to fail Soldiers, what they looking is for who will make the cut to become a real paratrooper. They are separating the bad from the good one, this not only get you to jump but be part of SF support, Rangers, 82th Airborne Division & many other special assignment therefore only the best will stay. I saw it first hand 8 years ago. I think that the key is to jump in front of the line and be one of the first people to knock out the push ups and sit ups. At the end of the day is you doing them but they do have a limited amount of slots per class and there is a lot (and I mean it) trying to get in as alternates and what not. Do your best and good luck!
