Is the disability calculation correct for a Medical Board based on 2 months base pay X years in?

0
30% or higher dod rating you'll be medically retired and that is based off of base pay. VA rating is a standard chart that you can find online. If you have more than 20 you are eligible for concurrent receipt. Less than 20 you pick whichever is more.

If found unfit and assigned a 10-20% rating yes. It is 2 x base pay x number of years of service. It is roughly 67% larger than involuntary separation pay.

Check out DA Form 5892. If rated above 30% by the Army... It states on there: "retired pay is the higher of formula "a" or "b." There's the Years-of-Service computation which would be 2.5%xYrs___Mnths____x $(retired pay base) = retired pay
and there's the disability rating percentage computation
(percentage rated)_____x retired pay base $_____ = retired pay.
if rated below 30% you'll receive severance pay which is:
2 x base pay of current grade x years of service (at least 3 or 6 to a limit of 19) = severance pay.
