Is the Electronic Warfare field at the point where professionals should be visiting electrical engineering colleges for recruiting?

Actually Electrical schools are a bit off target. I'd focus on the Electronic Engineering side. Big difference between the two different EE curriculums. Electrical deals more with distribution and construction as a primary focus. Add to that backup power. Electronic steers more directly into sensors, processing, measuring, etc. These skills are utilized to bring the new generation test equipment to life. You see it big time in medical and test lab scenarios. To me a much closer match.

Hell yes, although the military experience afforded me the opportunity to get a BSEET, then on my own I completed a Masters in Engineering (Electronics & Communications) and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. I am sure there are Patriots in school/graduating that could contribute significantly to ground forces. It's not always figured out at a proving ground, best to have the smartest guys with you. IMO.

The military recruiters need to go to where the talent is and not wait for it to come to them.
